University Guest Speaker - Fashion Business

It's June 7th 2025, and I am finally sharing my university guest lecture session in a new video on the Sparks Sunglasses YouTube channel. I held the footage hostage, in a vault on my laptop for months because 1. I was busy preparing for the launch of the Sparks Sunglasses Take Off Collection, but 2. because I had to watch the whole video, edit it and believe that I did a good job.
As I woke up that day, and got ready to head to Nottingham Trent University, I was so nervous about doing it. I didn't have breakfast that day because I lost my appetite and felt like I could've had a heart attack. My heart was pounding out of my chest, but here's the proof of how it went.
When I was 29 years old I built SPARKS from nothing, launched it on May 19th 2019, worked tirelessly everyday to scale and, and then there I was on March 11th 2025, giving students at Nottingham Trent University a lecture on Fashion Business and Marketing. My experience of building my brand had made me so much of an expert, I was afforded the chance to do this. I watched the video to edit it, and I Can't Believe I Did It. Before sharing the full guest lecture video, I shared the GRWM reel on the Kayisha Online Instagram account. The outfit had to be right, the hair had to be slick and the lips has to be glossy.
This opportunity helped me to see that my work is not going in vain. People are seeing my creativity, my hard work, my dedication; and it's opening doors for me. Never be afraid to promote yourself. You don't turn a lamp on and leave it in a cupboard behind a locked door. You're meant to shine.
