Sunglasses In The Winter - Autumn/ Winter 2025 Collection

When I was a teenager, I wore my sunglasses on my head every day, no matter the weather. I grew up in London, it felt like it was always Winter, but my sunglasses were a key accessory. Years before I launched Sparks Sunglasses, I was wearing sunglasses the correct way, and I didn't care what people thought when it was February, and I was wearing sunglasses on my birthday.

As the CEO of Sparks Sunglasses, it is my mission to educate people on the importance of wearing sunglasses to protect the invaluable health of their eyes. I am literally on a mission. I do something every day to encourage eye care, and I will keep going. BUT, every time someone questions why they should be wearing sunglasses in the Winter, or laughs at me (for wearing sunglasses)/ the idea of protecting their eyes any time after September, I realise how much work I still have to do.

The photos below were taken today, at about 1:00pm in the UK. It's October 27th 2025 and even though it was cold (at one point it was 11 degrees Celsius), the sun was visibly shining and the glare was extensive. This is proof that during Autumn/ Winter you MUST wear sunglasses. You should even wear them when it's raining and snowing. All year round I encourage people to wear Sparks Sunglasses to love and protect their eyes. Regardless of the season, the sun is powerful and you should make EVERY effort to protect your eyes from over exposure, to maintain healthy vision. The sun can reflect off snow, wet roads and can penetrate the clouds. Increased exposure to the sun in the winter can cause long term damage and vision loss.

For all of the drivers out there, across the world, you should keep a pair of sunglasses in the car for each trip. Driving with sunglasses on ensures safety and clear vision. Sunglasses will help to reduce the glare that can cause dazzling and blindness. You should avoid yellow lens sunglasses when driving, so all colours are still vivid when you are driving, and signs and lights are still clear. There is no need to wear sunglasses for night driving if the sun has set. This will increase the chance of an accident because your eyes require a certain amount of light to see clearly and to be safe.
