Sing with me "There's a blessing in the storm"
We have had amazing weather in the UK for the past couple of weeks, but today, Tuesday 27th June 2017 we had a heavy downpour of rain. There are parts of the world that have droughts, then there are other places like Seattle that are known for the rain. Rain has a negative connotation to many people, but I see rain as a blessing.
The other day I called my mum and I told her that the heavens have opened. I meant it literally, but I also meant it spiritually. I always pray for God to bless me and my family, to bless people I know personally and people I dont know. I believe that He will bless us so much that saying "Mum, the heavens have opened..." was my way of welcoming/ accepting and preparing for the blessing to come down from Heaven.
"Through the storms of life be confident! God will walk you through to
a bright, new and confident you. Trust and have faith."
Joshua 1:9 God is with you wherever you go.
I dont want to get too scientific (I loved science in high school), but here's why it rains in the summer. During the summer, humid air rises and the water vapor in the air condenses in the clouds. Before we know it, large drops of water fall to the ground in the form of rain. Anyone ever heard the little saying "When the prayers go up, the blessings come down."??? It's the same as the process of rain, a beautiful cycle.
When I was in Florida this time last year, I did a very spontaneous Periscope broadcast because I had been out all day, we had marvellous weather and all of a sudden here came the rain. I managed to turn it into an uplifting, inspirational message for my viewers and I'm glad I did. Today's weather reminded me of the broadcast that I uploaded as a video on YouTube and I just thought I would share it with you too.
Before I go, I want to remind you that life brings you challenges, there may be clouds over your head, but all things have a purpose and if you turn them around for you good, blessings and beautiful things can come out of it. So regardless of the rain, stay positive, be hopeful, the storm the end and the sun will shine in the sky. God is on your side.
